Having a sculpted bottom takes years to shape. However, thanks to the development in the textile industry, we don’t need to wait for years to feel more feminine. So, shapewear is a way to contour your tummy, waist, back as well as bottoms. How about shaping them all at once? In my list of hip-padded tummy control shapewear, the offers are for every purpose!
Ever since my sorority times, I have been going to the gym on the regular. However, after giving birth to my second, I admittedly neglected my gym habits. So, I have started to wear shapers to have more appealing looks. Yet, this is not the only way.
Women tend to store body fat in their hips, buttocks, thighs, and lower abdomen. This is due to natural reasons regarding pregnancy. So, it’s a hard task to lose weight on the hips. For instance, if you are 35 years old; the healthy body fat percentage is around 25-26 percent.
So, you need to sweat buckets in the gym to lose that much fat. The best way to have a molded hip is through not missing your squat days. When you combine it with a healthy diet, you’ll see shedding inches day by day.
So, to get rid of belly pooch, you need lots of exercises and dietary changes. Having less than 20 percent of body fat will assure you will have it as flat as before.
However, not every one of us has time, motivation, or opportunity for that. In these cases, hip-padded shapewear might be a great alternative for you. That’s my case, indeed. I work long hours and I have two kids waiting at home and lots of responsibilities. That’s why I enjoy the benefits of shapewear even though I try to lead an active life.
So, before going further, let’s check out my list of favorite hip-padded tummy control shapewear!
This is the product that I use when I’m at home and in need of a detox. As its name suggests, it’s indeed ultra-shaping and it specifically lifts the bodysuit as high as possible. In addition to that, it causes no bulges, fat pinches, or any awkward shaping.
When I first used a thermal bodysuit, I must admit that I hated it. It wasn’t because I didn’t sweat or detox but everyone around me could see that I was sweating a lot and, more embarrassingly; they could smell it. However, thanks to its special fabrics, I haven’t faced such a problem with this bodysuit. I use it as an undergarment when I go jogging or while sitting at home after jogging and I feel that I am still fresh until I take it off.
Another feature that I like is that it fits greatly under my leggings. I am an ardent lover of leggings and I have several of them in my wardrobe. This is my go-to product when I sit on the fence when choosing an undergarment. It’s merely because the bottom looks much more sculpted in these as if I haven’t missed any squat days.
The last thing I appreciate here is its bust-free design. If you aren’t a well-endowed woman, you know how important it is to be able to wear a push-up bra. Even though the hip-hugger bodysuit is without a bust, you can wear your uplift bra and by adjusting the straps, it’s pushed up even more.
On the other hand, as it is a boyshort type, the support on thighs isn’t the best. So, if you aren’t happy with your thigh as well as hips, this one may not be a good choice. If you have body types like pear or triangle, maybe check out a different type.
All in all, the thermal bodysuit is a good one if you need a helping hand to lift your bottom, shape your abdomen, and flaunt your waist. Even though it’s not the best one for thighs, I think most women would enjoy what it offers.
The Second-Skin series is one of my favorites of this brand since it’s invisible and suitable for daily routine. It’s not so firm that I would feel squeezed and suffocated but it nicely hugs my body and anchors to my thighs.
Second-Skin is the special type of shapewear that it is almost like an invisibility cloak. Whatever I wear, thick or sheer, tight or loose, even I don’t notice it in the mirror. If you want to keep the fact that you wear a shaping garment, I think this could be a good choice for you!
Secondly, I like the feature that it never rolls up since it also adds much to its invisibility. It’s because when a piece of shapewear rolls up, you have this awkward uneven look on thighs or abdomen. Its silicone ends at the bottom prevents any rolling-up.
Another property that I like is that its pads on the buttocks part are stitched well so that it won’t move up or down. Before, I have always checked in the restroom mirror whenever I wore something with hip pads. After some time wearing it, I stopped this habit as I am pretty sure that it won’t move at all!
However, there is something that I dislike about it. As I’m living in a hot state of Louisiana, I refrain from wearing it in summer. When it is spring or winter in NOLA, I wear it without fearing that I would sweat a lot, though.
The extremely soft texture of the Second Skin bodysuit is for those who want medium control on tummy, not moving hip pads and shapewear’s invisibility. Even though I don’t wear it in the summertime, it’s pretty good to slip it on the other seasons.
The Comfort Evolution shaper is the product for those who want extra support on thighs in contrast to my second pick on the list. If you have a pear, apple, or triangle body shape, you won’t have to fear that you will look disproportionate in this. It masterfully hides any body defect, prevents bulges, and gives you an enhanced look.
The Evolution series offers two things at once: comfort and control. Normally, you must choose one or the other. However, the special fabric allows it to be extra comfortable while controlling the tummy. The heart-shaped hip pads anchor to the garment so it won’t move at all.
The second thing I like about this shaper is that it is suitable for those who need help with their thighs. Unfortunately, not every product considers triangle-shaped bodies worthy of targeting as it’s a narrow audience. Yet, the thigh and waist support gradually increases in this product so that triangles, pears, and apples can benefit from it.
Thirdly, I appreciate how it boasts the curves. Partially it’s owing to the gradual waist support but also the medium-firm compression on the tummy and medium compression on everywhere else. So, it naturally shows the body like an hourglass shape and gives a more feminine look. I used to wear a piece that made me look like a gymnast: straight everywhere. Compared to that, it’s a miracle.
Yet, I didn’t like the way it treats my body in case of long hours of wearing. It started itching my shoulders as the straps were moving from time to time. My solution to this was using it in moderation. I believe moderation is the key to everything in life so apparently, the use of shapewear is no exception.
To sum up, the Comfort Evolution body shaper is convenient for women with specifically said body shapes. It does what it promises to do and I’m quite happy with the results.
First, I wanted to give at least one piece for different special needs and the post-surgical shaper is a good example of that. If you just delivered your baby or had a stomach operation, this is a good one to start with. It speeds up the recovery phase while giving you a shaped look.
The second month after an operation, your body doesn’t have any open wounds or stitches anymore. However, the skin can’t have recovered fully. The second-stage shaper is full of microcapsules to finish the task. These capsules contain Ginkgo biloba, seaweed, vitamin E, and Cosmacol Emi. These are mainly used for moisturizing the skin, accelerate healing, and offer remedies.
Aside from that, I like the comfort properties. If you are after giving birth, you might still feel pain when you need to use your abdominal muscles. So, wearing it and taking it off every time you go to the restroom can be disturbing. However, thanks to its open-crotch design, you don’t need to remove your clothes.
Lastly, I like the overall pressure level on the stomach and the hips. The pads cover the buttocks nicely while the abdominal part holds on to the stomach accurately. This provides the feminine look, flaunts the love handles while preventing the saggy look on the bottoms.
However, it might be too tight for the size as it is medium-high compression level. If you need a piece of advice, I’d suggest you buy a size up so that you won’t have to feel restricted. The rule about the size is “If you feel good, it’s good.”
This is best for people who are right after the operation and in need of a molded look. The health and comfort benefits make this unprecedented type of shapewear if you ask me.
My weight loss adventure has been going back and forth for the last 10 years. Sometimes I lost to get back to normal standards and the other times I was on the brink of obesity standards. Therefore, I know how hard it is to find products for plus-size beauties. That’s why I appreciate plus-size shapewear whenever I see a good one.
As thermal bodysuits are meant to stay for long hours, the snugness of the bodysuit tops the list of most necessary things. However, not all of them are adequate at this. I wore this product for a while as a constant dieter and I didn’t feel my stomach full of sweat until I removed it. I felt how wet it became afterward. So, not worrying about the bad odor and not feeling fresh is a big plus for me about this product.
Another thing that I like about it is the hip pads have never moved as I was wearing it. They were stitched perfectly to feel much better in it. Once I was at a wedding when I saw a lady’s hip pads moved and she looked as if she had an awkward bottom. If you don’t want to embarrass yourself, make sure the pads stay in place, and as far as I could see this one ensures that.
In addition to that, the extra-large thermal zone in the stomach maintains the perspiration only in one place. Logically, this is a better idea than the scattered thermal zones. It detoxes the skin, opens pore, and speeds up the metabolism by working on this large area.
However, because of this thermal zone, it is impossible to apply the gradual waist controlling. Consequently, the flaunting of the curves is less than the others on our list. If you want to flaunt curves more, you may want to take a look at the other products on my list.
All in all, hip-padded Plus Thermal bodysuit is one of the products for plus-sized women. If you want your shapewear to assist you in your weight-losing process, this is the one I would suggest for you.
As I said before, accidents happen with those pads. First and foremost, you need to check if the pads are stitched well enough to prevent such cases. Secondly, check how firm it is. The firmer pads are usually better but foam rubber ones with firm nature look pretty natural for an outsider.
Unfortunately, no. Shapewear only offers a temporary change and your body won’t adjust itself after long hours of using it. To change your look indefinitely, ask an expert about it.
It depends on what type of shapewear you are wearing. I don’t recommend wearing it the whole day especially if it is a firm type. It could slow down the blood circulation and squeezing the internal organs for the worse.
To sum things up, the 5 best hip-padded tummy control shapewear ranks this way. All of them are for different purposes. The Ultra-Shaping Thermal Bodysuit is for those who want to slim down while having an extra firm bodysuit. Similarly, the Plus Thermal bodysuit is for plus-sized ladies who need to speed things up when losing weight. The Second Skin bodysuit would be good if you want your shapewear to be invisible while controlling your tummy and lifting your butt.
The Comfort Evolution shaper is a better choice if you have pear or triangle body shapes. Finally, the post-surgical bodysuit is a vivid option for people who have special needs after surgery.
